Many see online chatrooms as a way of making new friends. Yes, some may be several thousands of miles away all across the world (through the wonder of the internet communication), but there are some that could do with a few more people.
Firstly, you will need a facebook account for this one that I am talking about.
It has rules, but more often than not, the rules are governed by the site that its promoted through. Hope you have fun chatting because I personally use this chatroom, and I very rarely suffer an issue with it.
http://apps.facebook.com/thechatshack is the immediate url to it, then all you need to do is either click on 'Chat Now' or 'Enter The Chat'. Both open a new window in which you connect to the chatroom using your facebook account by simply clicking on the button that appears all by its lonesome self.
Once there, there are a number of people who will always help, and if you find it daunting at first, ask. Making friends online could not be simpler :)
